By downloading, installing, or using Primed ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Primed is an educational app that provides emergency preparedness training through daily tasks, lessons, and decision scenarios. The App is designed to help users build knowledge and skills related to emergency situations.

3. Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The information provided in Primed is for educational purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or emergency.
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have learned in this App.
  • In a medical emergency, call your local emergency services (911 in the US) immediately.
  • The first aid and emergency response information in this App is based on guidelines from organizations such as the American Red Cross and "Stop the Bleed" but may not reflect the most current recommendations.

4. Subscription Terms

Primed offers subscription-based access to premium features:

  • Free Trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • Billing: After the trial, subscriptions are billed weekly or annually depending on your chosen plan. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policies.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes
  • Not rely solely on the App for emergency preparedness
  • Seek professional training for critical skills (e.g., CPR certification)
  • Understand that completing App content does not certify you in any skill

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Primed or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRIMED AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any action taken in connection with an emergency situation
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the App

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Primed and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
